Cinderella Blessing

Standard

Positive Thinking

When cinders from all the dust

soils your clothes, food and mood

do what you must

to stay level-headed cool.

Smile inside even if it does not

crack to your mouth.

Do not allow that crippling rot,

filling your heart with a drouth

decaying all chances of future joy.

Hold on to the hope of the Cinderella blessing,

where the  glass slipper melts away all stressing.

The silver lining is around the corner

so pick up your persistent armour.

A poem encouraging all (myself included) to hold on to faith that circumstances will change for the better. My contribution for Jackie’s  Thinking Corner encouraging all to inspire positive thinking.

When you reach that valley of depair hold on to the ropes of persistency.

Even when the rope is slippery, grasp on for your dear life for when the pain is the hardest your deliverance is around the corner.

However, you will not get to reap the rewards of walking that narrow, tough way if you give up now.

Keep striving, keep moving, keep climbing. Do not give up!

Surviving Malicious Gossip

Gossip

I will keep my head up and when my chin starts drooping, I will slap it back into location.

When their words fly darts of Pit Bull viciousness, I will smile in my heart because I know even if  he is silent, my God sees everything.

Even when the temptation to respond raises quick like the cheetah out for a meal, I bite my tongue to keep my storm at bay.

I am encouraged by the words of the Good Book, I  find comfort in knowing that nothing is wrong with me because scores attack.

Attack with their matching red coated armies  because I decide to wait for sex. It is my decision and if I perhaps  change course in the future, it is still my decision.

So I live to raise another day because of the mercies of God not to rage holy war with anyone but to live peacefully with all men.

Not because I am afraid because I have two blood mix that can shut down these fool but because God has done a number on my heart.

I am not cantankerous, needy and hiding under a cloak of much needed attention (that is the issue with many motor mouths), so quarrelling does not appeal to my nature.

May God deal with them.

Prompt Stomp Week 14: Survival

Superhero Submerge

Super hero

Superhero Jesus by Deus- Nocte via Deviant.com

“You my hero, you already saved the day”

A sentence jumping into my thoughts when I saw the theme for the first Prompt Stomp of 2016. The line is from Trip Lee’s Hero Invasion, a song I listened to so much at university. It definitely made me pause to an extent that I stopped everything, staring at the wall. Reflecting. Thinking of a time that Jesus was my superhero and no matter what circumstance occurred, he was the one to my rescue. It was a true description of “the solid rock” because with him I felt an anchor.  Some call him an imaginary friend but I never had those, I have characters from stories as friends but I cannot recall having imaginary friends. He was real like the characters from stories.

A Tribute to Woman

Tribute To Woman

Woman formed out of a man yet strong, strong as thousand

Oxens guarding her flocks whilst they gaze at a

Mighty world dipped in treachery. Yet again and

Again she raise after every fall. I urge you to

Navigate through life’s valley and hills with courage – Woman.

~.~

I write this Acrostic poem to celebrate the toil of women on International Women’s Day. I celebrate you woman, not solely because I am one but I see the way you dedicate your life to your children, other women and the men in your life and you earn that praise. If you- woman- perhaps come across this poem feeling disappointed in your life’s journey, I urge you to take another step. That extra step may you lead you to your awakening but you will not know if you do not try. I know you have taken so many steps so far but I am walking my marathon as well. We will pause to drink from rest sweet fountain, dust off and carry on. I celebrate you, woman.

My Journey

My Journey

Sourcwww.telegraph.co.uke:

I have the  earnest wish to do better

I must endure unto the end

And I  am saved.

I should always be good but it is my faith in Christ

As my personal saviour grants me salvation, for my

Bible tells me so.

Many times I wonder, actually ponder, really, really ponder whether I am at the point that God desires me.
There are so many tsunamis that are flooding my bloodstream with anti-Christ DNA.

The earthquakes are trembling, shaking and jolting my understanding to make me forget the word.

The volcanoes are corrupting my core into ashes.

Kindling burning flames into places that are not ready, ready to consumed.

As for the hurricane, it is ripping its devastating winds through my existence.

It is threatening to erase the contract  between Christ and myself

But I am holding on, not on my own but I am letting Jesus sail my ship.

Into any unchartered waters I roam he will steer me through.

The Man in the Family

The Main In the Family

Genesis 2:24

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his  wife and they shall be one flesh.”

The man is the prime person in a relationship that begins a family. According to tradition, he chooses a woman who he believes would be ideal as a wife and most likely as a mother later. Therefore, it is important that when a man chooses a spouse that she is compatible with him.  The decision is more than a physical connection but the spiritual  is crucial. It is this aspect that binds the family together when all else fails. When the man chooses a wife, it is crucial that he treats her with uttermost love and care. Bro Paul advises in 1 Corinthians 7:3 “let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence; and likewise also the wife unto the husband.” In addition, Ephesians 5:25 says that “husbands should love their wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it,” meaning make time for her as Christ made time for the church. Husbands should spend quality time with their wives to forge a deeper bond that began during courtship. Having a strong connection coupled with help from God deters negative external forces from battering the marriage.
