Top 5 Wednesday

Another dip into Top 5 Wednesday   world of exploring books. Today we talk about:

September 27th: Books You’ve Read Because of Booktube/Blogging/etc.
–Discuss the books you’ve picked up because you’ve heard of them in the online book community or platform you use

One of the beauties of online reading is discovering new books in the genre that you love and falling into books you normally would not  give a second look. Thanks to my groups on Goodreads and several book blogs post on WordPress, I read books that I probably would keep skipping or never attempt.

Let us dive into it:

A. Jock of The Bushveld by Percy Fitzpatrick
I enjoyed this tale of the dog Jock exploring The Veld all became of SA Reads on Goodreads.

B. Mamie Garrison: A Tale of Slavery, Abolition, History & Romance (The Garrisons #1) by Teresa McRae
A neat historical romance that I read because of the author’s numerous blog posts on WordPress.

C. Love and Other Happy Endings  Edited by M. R. Nelson
An enjoyable short stories collection that I received from an individual for review.

D. Dubliners by James Joyce
Currently on The History Book Club on Goodreads, we have the Ireland Challenge to read books about Ireland or Irish figures
so when the book club book read for March was Dubliners, I had to read to add the book to my Irish Challenge.

E.  Wings of Glass by Gina Holmes
Thanks to the Goodreads Group Christian Fiction Devourers   I came across the tale of a woman Penny fight with an abusive husband.
